Advancement Planning Sheet available in Excel

An electronic version of the 2008 Advancement Planning Sheet is available for all unit leaders on the Forms and Resources section of this site. The file is a Microsoft Excel document that will allow unit leaders to type in participant names and their merit badge choices. However, the document will not allow you to make any other formatting changes. Those leaders who wish to use the form can save it to their computer and bring a printed copy with them to camp.

NEWSletter section added to site

A periodic newsletter is sent out to all of the Scoutmasters of troops that are attending Many Point in the coming summer. In it are important details about program offerings as well as reminders and tips for troops. Recent editions of the NEWSletter can be found on the Forms and Resources section of this site. Check out the most recent edition for information on the new photography merit badge program, our article in Boys Life, the SCUBA program and the 2009 campsite reservation priority deadline.

Older Scouts will test their accuracy with a unique set of projectiles. Among others, shooting equipment could include black powder rifles, throwing spears, boomerangs and blow darts.

Disc Golf Course will be completed in Spring of 2008.

Geocaching added to Outdoor Skills areas.

As a troop, learn the fundamentals of using a GPS before setting out to find the caches (hidden objects) of our course or use your creativity to create your own.

Senior Patrol Leaders Corps added to 2008 summer program.

SPLs from each troop will come together for an hour each day for this special training opportunity. Utilize strategies to make your troop's week as successful as possible. SPLs will also earn a unique merit badge, plan major camp-wide events and earn special recognition.

Photograpy & Finger Printing Merit Badges will be offered in summer of 2008.
